#StCharlesCounty Community Development invites the public's feedback on a draft grant application for the use of Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery Funds, including a Local Voluntary Buyout Project (LVBOP).
These funds would assist homeowners recovering from flooding that occurred April 29-July 5, 2019. Upon application approval, the County will use the funds to purchase flood-damaged homes and remove them from flood zones designated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency to reduce the impact of future flooding. Purchases would be considered only on interest and consent of homeowners.
