3.2% of citizens unemployed in St. Charles County in 2021

St. Charles County recorded an unemployment rate of 3.2% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 7,197 people out of the 402,377 living in St. Charles County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in St. Charles County has increased compared to the 3% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in St. Charles County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 4.5%.

Of the 215,925 people who had a job during that time, 174 were employed in the Armed Forces and 215,751 belonged to the civilian labor force.
