St. Charles home prices rise in the second quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2017 in St. Charles rose by $13,600 while total sales decreased by 0.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2017, there were 341 homes sold, with a median sale price of $173,500 - a 8.5% increase over the $159,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 343 homes sold in St. Charles in the second quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in St. Charles for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $2,157, approximately 1.2% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2017.
