St. Charles home prices rise in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in St. Charles rose by $25,750 while total sales decreased by 14.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were 348 homes sold, with a median sale price of $176,250 - a 17.1% increase over the $150,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 408 homes sold in St. Charles in the third quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in St. Charles for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $2,157, approximately 1.2% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2017.
