St. Charles home prices rise in the first half of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2020 in St. Charles rose by $4,350 while total sales decreased by 12.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2020, there were 475 homes sold, with a median sale price of $191,000 - a 2.3% increase over the $186,650 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 545 homes sold in St. Charles in the first half of 2019.

The median sales tax in St. Charles for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $2,457, approximately 1.3% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2020.
