Veteran Healing Gardens

There’s a touch of spring in the air the last few days. OR IT MAY BE US HERE AT THE MUSEUM WISHFUL THINKING.

The St. Charles County Veterans Museum has a handful of gardens available once again in 2023 for adoption. Most are partial, morning sun. One or two is mostly shade. Just like last year, the gardens are available for adoption on a first come, first served basis. If you had a garden in 2022, please let us know you are once again adopting in 2023. All gardens must be planted by mid-May to look good in time for Memorial Day.

The goal is to keep the museum grounds beautiful and festive all year round. Last year, most people decorated and redecorated with spring and fall themes. Of course, we love the patriotic themes.

We ask that you supply the plants, plant them, and decorate as you like. Please check on your garden periodically. We promise to water, occasionally weed, and appreciate your beautiful garden. Plus, we’ll place your name on your garden and post it on Facebook.

Would you like to build your own garden? Let us know.

Remember, first come, first served basis. For more info, you can email us at sccvetsmuseum@gmail.com.
