Future Leaders Recognized at St. Charles County STEM Awards

On March 3, the 14th Annual St. Charles County STEM Awards Breakfast celebrated the achievements of 19 local high school students who have demonstrated high achievement in STEM academic or extracurricular pursuits. The event, which the EDC of St. Charles County has hosted since 2010, was held at Water's Edge Banquet Center in St. Peters.

One honoree from each of the County's public and private high schools was recognized. Awards were presented by Dr. Danielle Tormala, Superintendent at the Wentzville School District and long-standing member of the EDC's STEM Education Committee.

The event included an engaging panel discussion featuring industry experts from STEM fields. Leaders from Barnes Jewish Hospital, Boeing, Mastercard, and semi-conductor manufacturer MEMC were on hand to discuss STEM career opportunities and pass along words of wisdom to the students in the room.
