Judge Dwayne A. Johnson has dismissed a request for a temporary restraining order in St. Charles County, ruling that the plaintiff's filing did not meet state requirements. The case revolved around whether state law permits poll watchers during absentee voting or only on election day. County Director of Elections Kurt Bahr maintained that poll watchers are allowed solely on election day.

"We are happy that St. Charles County voters will not have to worry about their ability to vote during the absentee period," said Kurt Bahr. "Election challengers from both political parties will be present at several polling locations on election day as state law allows. We hope that the legislature can provide clarity on this issue during their next session."

Early voting is proceeding at two locations: the Election Authority office in St. Peters and Element Church in Wentzville, with specific hours listed for each site.
